Overview:
CID Gulf was appointed by Musstir LLC to conduct a comprehensive peer review and value engineering assessment of the infrastructure and building systems design for the Bandar Al Khairan Resort & Spa. The scope involved evaluating engineering disciplines across civil, structural, MEP, and infrastructure works, with the aim of optimizing the project prior to tender and construction.
Scope of Work:
High-level peer review of road, utility, and building MEP systems Review of design compliance with Omani standards and operational guidelines Gap analysis across all major engineering disciplines Value engineering (VE) and cost-benefit (CB) review with risk/benefit ratings Coordination workshop with Ibrahim Jaidah Architects & Engineers (IJAE) Advisory reporting and support for Musstir’s internal development decisions
Outcome:
CID Gulf’s involvement provided the client with an independent and technically robust validation of the design package, identifying multiple areas of improvement and potential cost savings. The peer review enabled better project control and reduced design risk before execution.
