Overview:

CID Gulf was commissioned by Musstir to investigate chronic flooding issues affecting the car park of the MB Building in Al Azaiba. CID Gulf developed and tested multiple drainage strategy options, evaluated their feasibility, and advised on stakeholder coordination and approval risks.

Scope of Work:

Site inspection and cause analysis of surface flooding Topographic review and drainage volume simulations Concept design of three drainage solutions: Internal sump-pit and soakaway Gravity culvert to airport lowland (Option 1) Culvert crossings to sea via November 18th Street (Options 2 & 3) Technical risk assessment of each solution Advisory on hydrology study requirements and municipal approvals Feasibility planning and phased cost-benefit guidance

Outcome:

CID Gulf’s advisory services provided Musstir with a clear roadmap to resolve flooding challenges while managing cost, approvals, and design risk. The staged strategy enabled Musstir to move forward with internal works while evaluating longer-term infrastructure options with authorities.
