Overview:
CID Gulf was engaged by Kettle Collective to provide infrastructure advisory support during the pre-concept masterplanning of a coastal touristic development in Taqah, Salalah. The project targeted a potential Integrated Tourism Complex (ITC) submission and required early-stage technical validation of land use, infrastructure feasibility, and utility demand projections.
Scope of Work:
Site visit and terrain mapping using NSA 5m DEM Identification of infrastructure constraints and opportunities Stakeholder engagement and utility availability analysis Development of mass balance demand sheets (3 options) Preliminary infrastructure corridor and utility sizing Spatial fit studies for RoWs, utility plots, and service buildings Final engineering overlays and pre-concept infrastructure design report.
Outcome:
CID Gulf’s advisory input enabled the client and masterplanner to test realistic development scenarios and determine the engineering viability of the site. The strategic infrastructure overlays allowed the project team to move confidently into the next stage of feasibility and stakeholder engagement.
